Zoryana Kalashnik (Russia) will be teaching with Rasmus and we are sure they will make a great team togehter!


Since early childhood Zoryana has been dreaming to dance, but only in 2011 attended her first Lindy Hop class and half a year later began with Boogie Woogie.


Already in 2012 she went for teaching Boogie Woogie and Lindy Hop in Nizhny Nowgorod (Russia).


Since 2013 Zoryana started taking part in different Boogie Woogie competitions in Russia and got into finals in most of them including Russian Championship.


In 2015-2016 she moved to Kiev and started competing internationally together with Ivan Katrunov. Already on their first Boogie Woogie World Cup (Moscow, Russia) they went into finals and since then participated in 7 World Cups and the European Championship 2016 (Stutgart, Germany) ending it with 6th place. This brought Ivan and Zoryana to the 4th position in the World Boogie Woogie Ranking list 2016.


In August 2016 Zoryana returned to Russia and started coaching a Junior Boogie Woogie couple, who have become Champions of Russia in Junior category for the first time in the history of Russian Boogie Woogie. Furthermore they came 10th on their first international competition (European Championship).


In March 2017 Zoryana has successfully passed the WRRC exam for becoming an international Boogie Woogie Judge and already in April had judged Boogie Woogie World Masters and Nordic Championship in Oslo, Norway.


Did you know that...


Zoryana finished school with the Golden Medal and has a Master Degree in Philology.

She is a teacher of Russian language and literature in the school for boys.

Before dancing she tried light athletics, ai ki do, mountain tourism and speleology

Within dancing Zoryana has also studied Afro plastics and dancehall.
